I have always been intrigued about anything edible; its flavor, culinary use, medicinal potential, growing region and history as well as the overall agricultural, environmental and anthropological aspects of food. I'm in awe seeing firsthand how what we regularly consume plays a significant role in contributing to or reversing many physical and mental health conditions and how these choices also affect the health of our planet and its inhabitants.
I, and many liked-minded colleagues and educators, have witnessed numerous people (including myself) change the what, why and how of their intake and ultimately change the quality of their lives. It is very apparent to me that our ability to nourish ourselves has a LOT to do with how things are going in our lives overall.
Cheryl is currently seeing patients in Gig Harbor, Washington. When not keeping up to date with the latest research or whipping up a whole foods meal, she enjoys outdoor adventures, entrepreneurial daydreaming, traveling and just being.
